Ensuring lives are known & remembered

Known & Remembered

GTK® exists to ensure that lives are known and remembered. Not selectively, not conditionally, and not only when it is convenient to do so. Every life has worth, and every life carries a story that deserves to be held, shared, and made available to those who come after.

We are not a technology company. Technology is simply the tool. The purpose is people.

Each GTK page forms part of a broader, growing record. A living book of people and their lives. A place where photos, written memories, and other media come together to form a lasting account of a life as it was known.

Privacy: Your page is private and only accessible via direct link or QR code. For enhanced privacy you can set a passphrase that will then be required to view your page.

Our Commitment

We believe that what is being created here matters beyond the present moment. The responsibility is not only to make something accessible today, but to ensure it remains so far into the future.

For that reason, each page is preserved beyond its immediate use. Access is maintained, and copies are held in a manner intended to outlast any single system, platform, or moment in time.

Each year, 12 locked copies are created and entrusted to appointed custodians. These are individuals who share in the belief that every life deserves to be known and remembered. These copies are held offline and released only under defined circumstances, ensuring continuity in the event of disruption.

Why This Exists

This work began from a simple but enduring belief.

After my grandfather passed away in my arms following stage 4 cancer, what remained most clear was not only his life, but his belief that every life has worth. Even those we may not agree with. Even those we may not understand.

That belief did not end with him. It became the foundation for this work.

Why a Book

GTK is structured as a book by design.

Not a feed. Not a platform driven by trends or visibility. A book.

Because books are kept. They are archived, referenced, and maintained by institutions that exist beyond any single company. This structure allows the record of lives to remain meaningful and accessible over time, not dependent on attention or activity.

In the event that far into the future GTK® is no longer operational, the format and structure allow for continuity through entities such as libraries and archival institutions.

Continuity

Plans have been made to ensure this work continues beyond any one person or organization.

In the event that GTK® is no longer able to operate, ownership and stewardship are structured to pass to qualified entities aligned with this purpose. These entities must meet defined standards, including longevity, public trust, and a demonstrated commitment to the belief that every life deserves dignity, regardless of opinion.

The intention is simple. This does not end.
